ruby-daemons software package provides Ruby daemons library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-daemons
ruby-daemons is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-daemons package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-daemons *
You will get with ruby-daemons package name, version, architecture and description in a table
